• The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (1979) and The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (1980), the first and second books in the inaccurately named Hitchhiker’s trilogy. You can purchase them separately, but it’s definitely worth owning the complete collection. Buy on iBooks or Amazon.
• The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (1981). Six-episode series originally broadcast on the BBC. Buy the DVD on Amazon. If you’re a fan, this is definitely worth owning on disc.
• The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005). Directed by Garth Jennings and starring Martin Freeman, Mos Def, Zooey Deschanel, and Sam Rockwell. Buy on iTunes or Amazon.
